Description

The grapes for this wine come from an own vineyard located in the Lo Ovalle sector, one of the freshest in the Casablanca Valley. It was planted in 2003 on soft hills, whose heights vary between 270 and 380 meters above sea level and is driven on a vertical trellis.

This allows to take advantage of different exposures and orientations, which produces a great diversity of expressions in the grapes. Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the vineyards receive their influence in the form of fresh breezes and habitual morning fogs. The winter of 2016 had been drier and less cold than expected, due to the presence of the El Niño phenomenon in the Central Zone of Chile.

Towards spring, however, there was a decrease in temperatures concerning historical averages and an increase in rainfall and cloudiness, a condition that remained for much of the summer. In the Casablanca vineyards, the higher relative humidity of the air caused a decrease in production. Under these conditions, wines of extraordinary quality were achieved, which stand out for their good acidity and moderate alcohol content.
